Broadoak Painted Alabaster Kitchen
& Silestone Eco Red Pine Worktops
It was a pleasure to carry out this job in Stanton St. John, a beautiful Oxfordshire village. Our client wanted to modernise the kitchen in their old cottage, without compromising on character.
Once we had taken out the existing kitchen, we removed a dividing wall to create an open plan living/dining space, and laid an engineered oak floor.
In terms of kitchen design, the simple Broadoak painted alabaster doors are a classic choice and the Shaker units fit perfectly with the overall simple feel of the cottage. The Silestone Eco Red Pine worktop not only looks good, but is an environmentally friendly choice. It is comprised of 50% recycled materials, such as mirror, glass, porcelain and earthenware.
A ceramic Belfast sink is a great style choice for a country kitchen, and there are draining grooves in the worktop above the dishwasher to finish the sink area off well. We installed an extractor hood above our client’s range cooker and, when the decoration is complete, the spots will finish the lighting for the room.
