Traditional with a modern twist!

What a joy it was to complete this project in a beautiful property built in 1872 in a small hamlet which had the most amazing views. The client wanted a traditional kitchen with a modern twist which would fit in with the age of the property but with all of the mod cons, especially as David loves to cook.
The door chosen is from Burbidge and is their Lansdowne Painted Oak in white complemented with a solid oak worktop. The customer had their own existing appliances such as a range cooker, dishwasher and fridge freezer to build into the design with the exception of a De Dietrich Multi Function Steam Oven and Brittania Automatic Sensing Extractor Hood. We also installed an Insinkerator instant hot water tap too!
A load bearing wall needed to be partially removed to open up the room and allow for more work surface and a few challenges needed to be overcome such as building a central island area which span over different floor heights although this was not a huge issue due to our ability to produce bespoke units to our exact requirements.
This kitchen has many internal storage devices such as a LeMans corner pull out and internal drawers positioned at the correct height to accommodate a need for space to store bottles and spice jars.
A few finishing touches such as a wine storage area and floating shelves completed this project.

“We thought that the standard of workmanship was exceptionally high. We were very pleased with the implementation of the design. It was satisfying that the kitchen was completed on time and there were no hidden extra’s, so the budget was kept to.” David Jenks
